Senator McLEAY (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - In view of the damaging effect of the questions asked by Senator Lamp in the Senate last week, concerning the presence of a secret Japanese wireless set at two Sydney addresses, will the Leader of the Senate state whether he has received a letter on this subject from the office of the Sydney Bulletin, and, if so, does he intend to make a statement to the Senate on the matter, so that a totally unwarranted stigmacast under the cover of parliamentary privilege will not be permitted toremain ? I understand that the person concerned served with the Australian forces in the last war, and has two sons serving in the present war.
