Senator ALLAN MacDONALD - A few weeks ago I made a request to the Treasurer that all expenditure in connexion with air raid precautions be made an allowable deduction for Commonwealth income tax purposes. I further asked that, in the event of the Commonwealth Government agreeing to my request, the State governments should also be asked to treat such expenses as allowable deductions for income tax purposes. Will the Minister representing the Treasurer endeavour to ascertain whether the Government has yet decided to accede to my request?
