Senator McBRIDE (South Australia) . - So far as the motion moved by the Leader of the Senate (Senator Collings) provides for the meeting of Parliament on the 25th of this month, I approve of it, but I am sure that the Government does not suggest that the proposal to call Parliament together on the fourth Wednesday of each month is to be an immutable arrangement. Can we take it that circumstances may cause an alteration of that arrangement at any time?

Senator Collings - Yes, any alteration will be announced.
