Senator GIBSON (Victoria) .We have witnessed the extraordinary exhibition in this chamber this morning of one Minister asking another Minister whether the Government intends to pay interest on the money proposed to be borrowed under this bill. The spectacle is ridiculous.


Senator Cameron - The position is not ridiculous. The honorable senator suggested that it was not the Government's intention to pay interest.
