Senator FOLL (Queensland) .- I wish to make my position clear. I. intend to support the Government on this item. I was prepared to test the committee on the previous item, because, as Senator A. J. McLachlan pointed out, an important principle was at stake. However, I realize the obligation of the Government to obtain revenue; thu means it devises to that end are its responsibility. The Government has decided to enter this field in order to obtain the money that it needs, and, for my part, I shall oppose the amendment.

Amendment negatived.
