Senator FOLL (QUEENSLAND) - Will the Minister representing the Prime Minister state whether the Government, in order to respond to the Prime Minister's appeal for a reduction of expenditure on nonessentials, forgo this year the (usual custom adopted by Ministers and heads of Government departments in sending out thousands of Christmas cards? Will the Government also make an appeal to the State Governments, municipalities and private citizens to follow this lead, and utilize the money so saved in purchasing war savings certificates ? Will the Minister also appeal to citizens to give war savings certificates as Christmas presents ?
