Senator LAMP (through Senator Clothier) asked the Minister representing the Treasurer, upon notice -

1.   What has been the population drift from Tasmania during the present year?

2.   Is it a fact that the people leaving Tasmania are trained workers, educated and taught their trades by the State of Tasmania?

3.   If so, will the Government set up an economic committee for the purpose of inquiring into ways and means of arresting this drift of population?
