Senator FRASER (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - I am not parochial. If an artisan in Western Australia cannot make good in his trade in that State he is at liberty to transfer to the eastern States, and such transfer might be to the advantage of Australia as well as to himself. The Government should prosecute vigorously the development of the mineral resources of Western Australia. I appreciate that the Government has assisted such development, but greater activity is needed.

The ACTING PRESIDENT (Senator James MacLachlan). - The honorable senator's time has expired.
