Senator COLLINGS - by leave- Honorable senators will remember that last night I referred to Senator Dein a case of particular hardship concerning an unemployed young man in New South Wales, and Senator Dein immediately undertook to get in touch with him with a view to having him placed in employment. By a strange coincidence I received from this young man to-day a telegram stating that after a fruitless search for work lasting many months he had been given a job, starting this morning, with a city firm. I am happy to be able to announce that, but I thank Senator Dein for his good intentions.

Sitting suspended from 3.10 to 8 p.m.
