Senator DEIN (NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Leader of the

Senate, upon notice -

1.   Has an interim report yet been received from Sir Walter Kinnear, who conducted an investigation into health insurance and pensions; if not, when is such report expected?

2.   When is it expected that Mr. Ince will complete his investigations into national insurance ?

Senator Sir GEORGE PEARCE - The answers to the honorable senator's questions are as follows: -

1.   Sir WalterKinnear did not leave an interim report. He did leave with the Treasurer, however, a number of letters and notes dealing with various aspects of the subject.

2.   It is anticipated Mr. Ince will have completed his investigations into the question of unemployment insurance by about the middle of December.
