Senator Sir GEORGE PEARCE (Western Australia) - by leave - During recent weeks a number of questions bearing upon trade treaty negotiations have been asked by several honorable senators. I am now in a position to inform the Senate that provisional trade treaties between the Government of the Commonwealth and the Governments of Czechoslovakia and Belgium have been signed. Both of these treaties will come before Parliament for ratification before being put in operation, and the necessary bills will be introduced at an early date.
