Senator HARDY (New South Wales) . - I understand that during the temporary absence of some members of the Country party, owing to somewhat unusual circumstances, the Leader of the Opposition (Senator Collings) did not fail to take advantage of the opportunity to make political capital out of the incident. I remind the Leader of the Opposition that when legislation affecting the primary producers is before this chamber the members of the Country party will always be in their places, and that their efforts will always be more effective than those of the Opposition.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Bill read a second time and reported from committee without amendment or debate; report adopted.
