Senator COLLETT (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that, despite information to the contrary appearing in the press, considerable quantities of cement from abroad are arriving in Western Australia, and only recently consignments of 9,000 tons were reported ?

2.   Does the Government propose to take action to protect local manufactures against the effects of low prices and cheap freights?
