Senator MILLEN (TASMANIA) - The SolicitorGeneral's name was disclosed.

Senator Brennan - No; it was said by some person unknown that the Solicitor-General had made a certain admission.

Senator MILLEN - We all know very well that the statement was made by the Solicitor-General, and I take the view that the carrying of the amendment will make members of this chamber feel more confident that the rights of Australian citizens are safeguarded, because they will know that regulations laid on the table have been scrutinized by some one having sound legal knowledge. I support the amendment.
