Senator J V MACDONALD (QUEENSLAND) . - I have not noticed in the budget any reference to the restoration of pensions to new wives and children of soldiers. I have received some correspondence from the Limbless Soldiers

Association, in this connexion, and should be glad to know from the Minister what is being done.

Senator Sir GEORGE Pearce - The amounts set out in this bill are based on the expenditure for the previous financial year. A more appropriate time to raise the subject will be when the Appropriation Bill is before the Senate.
