Senator LECKIE (Victoria) .- Can the Postmaster-General give an assurance that the law will be administered in the light of the facts which I have mentioned, as regards contributions made by taxpayers in paragraphs b and c? I do not wish to submit an amendment which might embarrass the Government.


Senator A J McLACHLAN (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - I give the honorable senator an assurance that if, -owing to business losses in one year, the contribution is made in the following year, the practice has been to regard the amount paid as an allowable deduction.
