Senator BRENNAN (Victoria) (Acting Attorney-General) . - I shall meet the wishes of the honorable senators who have just spoken by asking leave to amend my amendment by adding, after the word " received ", the words " and commended to the consideration of the Government ". This, I suggest, will remove the objections just raised to the original amendment.

Amendment - by leave - altered to read -

That the word "adopted" be left out with a view to insert in lieu thereof the words " received and commended to the consideration of the Government ".
