Senator COLLINGS (Queensland) . - I shall be brief. I am exceedingly pleased that this bill has come before the Senate, for I know that it will mean a great deal to those who have to travel over the trans-Australian route. The Opposition heartily supports the measure, which I am pleased to note contains a clause to safeguard the wages and working conditions of the men who will construct tho railway.
