Senator VERRAN (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - Unfortunately for the Minister, the decision does not- rest with him, but with the Senate. It is well known that stock-owners and farmers use large quantities of steel pipes. Senator Chapman's object in moving his motion is to put their case before the Senate, so that it will be in a position to decide whether the higher duties are warranted. I see no reason why the motion should not be agreed to.
