Senator McLACHLAN (South Australia) (Honorary Minister) . - As a matter of fact payment may now be made within a period of 60 days without the enforcement of a penalty; because, although it is provided that payment shall be made within 30 days, a further 30 days are allowed to elapse before a penalty is imposed. In reply to the other point which was raised by the honorable senator, I understand that the department endeavours to avoid a clashing of dates with regard to the payment of land and income tax.
