Senator GUTHRIE (through Senator Sir Henry Barwell) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Home and Territories, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that the Federal Capital Commission stated that they wrote off Ford motor cars in two years, Dodge and/or other American cars in three years, and British cars in five years?

2.   Why does the Commission use foreign cars?

Inquiry is being made of the Federal Capital Commission in regard to this matter and as soon as a reply is to hand it will be communicated to the honorable senator.
