Senator SAMPSON (TASMANIA) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Markets and Migration, upon notice-

1.   What was the amount of money placed on the Estimates for each of the financial years 1922-23, 1923-24, 1924-25, 1925-26, and i 020-27 for assisted passages from Great Britain to the Commonwealth?

2.   What were the amounts actually expended each year for this purpose?

3.   In the case of nominated passages, is there any age limit which debars a migrant from receiving the British and Australian Governments' grants towards passage money, even though accompanied by his or her family? .

Senator Sir GEORGE PEARCE - The information will be obtained and supplied as early as possible.
