Senator McLACHLAN (South Australia) (Honorary Minister) . - The object of the sub-clause is to make provision for outlying districts, where no member of the police force is stationed, but where usually a person employed by the Department of Defence is in charge of the property of the department. It would rarely occur that a person under 21 years of age would be called upon to apprehend an offender.
