Senator Sir WILLIAM GLASGOW (Queensland) (Minister for Defence) [10.11]. - The authority will advance up to 90 per cent on the value of the house and laud. If that security is valued at £2,000, the amount of the advance will be £1,800. In reply to Senator Sampson, I wish to say that it will be obligatory on the State authority to advance up to 90 per cent, of the valuation, but no man will be compelled to accept from that authority a sum greater than that which he wishes to have advanced to him.
