Senator KINGSMILL (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - I realize that; but I prefer not to refer to the war service homes. Even after this lapse of time the words recall painful memories. I should hesitate to move in the direction of modifying the residence conditions if the Government itself is prepared to do so. A remedy could be found without endangering the otherwise good principles underlying the bill. I see nothing but good in the measure, particularly for those who will become beneficiaries under the scheme, and thereforeI shall support the second reading;
