Senator NEEDHAM asked the Minister representing the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Is ita fact that the Commonwealth Oil Refining Company formerly transacted its business through the Commonwealth Bank, and has now withdrawn same?

2.   If so, why?

3.   Will the Government urge that the company in future transact all its business through the Commonwealth Bank, instead of through a private bank?

Senator Sir WILLIAM GLASGOW - The answers to the honorable senator's questions are as follow: - 1 and 2. No. The Commonwealth Oil Refinery transacts its business with the Commonwealth Bank, and has done so for a considerable time.
