Senator Sir WILLIAM GLASGOW (Queensland) (Minister for Defence) [3.52]. - As honorable senators are aware, I have given notice that to-morrow I shall ask leave tobring in a bill to amend the Electoral Act, and I should like the debate on Senator Thompson's motion to be adjourned until that bill is passed. When it is before the Senate, Senator Thompson may then, if he so desires, draw attention to any matters that do not happen to be covered by it. I ask leave to continue my remarks on some future occasion.

Leave granted ; debate adjourned.
