Senator McLACHLAN (South Australia) (Honorary Minister) . - When I moved the second reading of this bill, I indicated that the work of preparing the regulations and the necessary forms was taking up a very considerable amount of time. The gentleman who is in charge of that work, has had to consider thousands of forms and adapt them so that they will operate over the whole of Australia. In addition, regulations of a much more lengthy character than the provisions of the Act have had to be framed and submitted to the various authorities, who have the practical work to discharge. An Inspector in Bankruptcy has been appointed, and although I cannot name the exact date, it is hoped that the Act will be proclaimed very shortly.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Report adopted.
