Senator NEEDHAM (Western Australia) . - There is a marked difference between a Companies Act and this measure, which is receiving Government suPport. Although the Minister has said that the fees will be recommended by the board, and will eventually be paid by those who pay the tax, the clause specifically states that the fees shall be " as are prescribed." By whom will they be prescribed ?

Senator Crawford - By the Minister.

Senator NEEDHAM - Surely the Government can say what is a reasonable amount, particularly as it will be the prescribing authority.
