Senator NEEDHAM (Western Australia) . - I offer no objection to the motion, because I realize that it is imperative that the Joint Committee on Electoral Law and Procedure should furnish its report to Parliament as soon as possible. I understand that the purpose of the motion is to enable a sub-committee of the joint committee to take evidence in Queensland, and that the evidence it gathers will be considered by the whole of the committee on its return to Melbourne. I trust, however, that we shall not have a repetition of this motion, and that the committee will soon present its report to Parliament.
