Senator DUNCAN (NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Following upon a discussion which took place in the Senate with regard to an order for locomotives placed abroad by South Australia - has the attention of the Minister been directed to the fact that the Queensland Labour Government has placed an order with Messrs. Armstrong, Whitworth, and Company, England, for 25 locomotives, at a cost of £250,000?

2.   Has any application been made by that Government for any rebate of duty upon these locomotives ?
