Senator GRANT (NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Minister representing the Postmaster-General, uponnotice -

1.   What was the number of -

(a)   letters,

(b)   parcels,

(c)   packets,

(d)   papers, including foreign, received by the post offices of the Commonwealth for the years 1915-25 inclusive ?

2.   What was the number of officers and employees engaged as -

(a)   Postmen,

(b)   Mail officers, grades 1 and 2 (before classification designated as mail assistants) ,

(c)   Mail officers, grade 3 (formerly desig nated as sorters), in the transport of mails during the years 1915-25 inclusive.

Senator CRAWFORD - The PostmasterGeneral states that the desired information is being obtained and will be furnished as soon as possible.
