Senator LYNCH (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister representing the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Does the Government consider it a good policy on the part of the Nauru Commission to deplete the stocks of phosphatic rock in the islands under their control by soiling it to foreign countries ?

2.   If the Government thinks it is not advisable to dispose of the rock in the manner mentioned, will it communicate that opinion to the other governments concerned, viz., the Imperial Government and the Government of New Zealand?
