Senator FINDLEY (Victoria) . - I trust that the Minister will give an explanation in regard to the matter that has been raised by Senator Payne. I cannot blindly vote for the imposition of duties upon articles that are not likely to be made in Australia. Senator Payne has said that these goods are not made in Australia.


Senator Crawford - They are being made here.


Senator Payne - I said that some may be made, but in small quantities.


Senator FINDLEY - Some are being made at a factory which the honorable senator visited.


Senator Drake-Brockman - In 1921.


Senator FINDLEY - Are we to understand that all the ribbons which come under this item are being made in Australia to-day?
