Senator E D MILLEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) - The Repatriation Department accepts the obligation of caring for and doing what is possible to secure the restoration to normal health of the class of patients referred to by the honorable senator. If he has any particular State or institution in mind, and will intimate what it is, I shall place myself in a position to give him full information as to the actual position to-day, and what may be contemplated in the future.


Senator WILSON - Following on the Minister's reply, I ask him to have very stringent inquiries made with regard to the treatment of mental cases in South Australia.


Senator E D MILLEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) - I shall do so, and will inform the honorable senator as to the result of the inquiry.
