The CHAIRMAN (Senator Bakhap - To overcome any difficulty with regard to procedure, I suggest to the Minister in charge ('Senator E. D. Millen) that he move in each case that the request be not pressed; and if the Committee negatives the motion, the effect willbe to press the request.


Senator E D MILLEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) - In order to get over the difficulty pointed out by the Chairman, I am prepared to follow that course; but I hope it will not be regarded as a definite attempt on mypart to obtain a reconsideration of this and the remaining items. I move -

That the request be not pressed.
