The CHAIRMAN (Senator Bakhap - It seems to me that a position has arisen which makes it necessary for me to make some declaration in the matter. Inferentially and impliedly the division shows that the original request is to he pressed, and I take it upon myself to declare that the result of the division which has just been taken is that the original request is to be pressed. I do not wish to mislead honorable senators, but it is quite open, according to my interpretation of the Standing Orders, for any further modification, if desired, to be made; but if no such further modification is made, I declare that the original request is pressed.

Request pressed.
