Senator Wilson - I desire to make an explanation concerning the division that has just been taken. Senator Foll was anxious to be present and take part in it. As he was prevented, and I had promised to pair with him, I very much regret that I was unable to leave the chamber in time, and was obliged to record my vote in the division. I want Senator Foll to know that there was no intention on my part to take advantage of his absence. I should like also to know, Mr. Chairman, at what stage an honorable senator may leave the chamber during the ringing of the bells for a division?

The CHAIRMAN (Senator Bakhap). Once the doors are locked, an honorable senator may not leave the chamber. He must take part in the division.
