Senator FOLL (QUEENSLAND) - I ask the Leader of the Senate whether he has seen a statement made by the Minister for Works and Railways (Mr. Groom), as a result of the recent Premiers' Conference, to the effect that he has a plan in view for the unification of railway gauges likely to cost £51,000,000? Will the honorable senator give an assurance that before the Government commit themselves to any definite scheme for expenditure in connexion with this matter, the Parliament will be given a full opportunity of discussing it?
