Senator THOMAS (NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Minister representing' the Attorney-General', upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that, two members of the Hansard staff - Messrs. Bailey and Sholl - suggested to the Government; in the interests of economy, that the reporting of' the' Arbitration Court and kindred work should be. done by. a permanent staff instead of by outside reporters ?

2.   Did the Government accept the suggestion?

3.   Has any economy been effected?

4.   What are the results so far?
