Senator LYNCH (Western Australia) . - Do I understand that the antidumping provisions mentioned by the Minister (Senator Pearce) apply also to Prance?

Senator Pearce - Only to Germany.

Senator LYNCH - Then France is still a free competitor, and Germany has been singled out in this instance. What has France done to this country that she should be penalized in this way? Is it the intention of the Government to pass the Anti-Dumping Bill which was introduced in another place?

Senator Pearce - Importations from France will be dutiable under the intermediate Tariff.

Senator LYNCH - The Minister does not answermy inquiry regarding the antidumping measure which would affect German importations. We are imposing a heavy duty on exports from France, which is unreasonable, and I ask the Committee to support my request.
