Senator HENDERSON (for Senator Vardon) asked the Minister representing the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   What are the names, salaries, and allowances 'of all officers at present employed in Australia by the Commonwealth in connexion with the jointscheme ofimmigration?

2.   What are the names and salaries of officers appointed by the' Commonwealth in the different States, and what are their specific duties?

3.   Was it contemplated, when thescheme was approved by the Premiers' Conference, that a costly organisation would be established by the Commonwealth?
