Senator EARLE (Tasmania) . - Recognising that the Senate desires to get on with its business, I shall be as brief as possible in bringing under the notice of honorable senators the position of the silver-lead mining industry,, a matter which is of urgent importance, not only to .those engaged in the industry, but to the Commonwealth of Australia.


Senator Gardiner - I rise to a point of order. I should like to know whether any question has been stated from the Chair which the honorable senator is discussing.
