Senator GARDINER (NEW SOUTH WALES) - I ask the Minister for Defence, in view of the fact that the cost of maintenance of the Royal ' Military College at Duntroon for the financial year 1919-1920 amounted to ?61,176, and the cost of the Royal Australian Naval' College for the same period amounted to ?70,898, making a total yearly expenditure of ?132,074 ; and also in view of the fact that" we have thousands of highly trained officers who received their training at the war, will the Government in the interests of economy, taking into consideration the huge amount of money that might thus be saved, suspend for the next five years the operation of the institutions I have referred to?
