Senator PRATTEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) - Or, alternatively, we may negative the clause, the effectof which action would be to leave the Act asit stands. I support the principle that the near relatives of a deceased soldier should have the right to wear his decoration.

Question - " That the words proposed to be left out, be left out," resolved in the affirmative.

Amendment (by Senator Senior) proposed -

That the amendment be amended by inserting aftertheword "mother," in paragraph (a), the words " foster-mother, step-mother."
