Senator E D MILLEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) - The answers are - 1 and 2. The Government have not exempted Sir John Higgins from payment of income tax in respect of his salary as Chairman of the Australian Board of the British-Australian Wool Realization Association Limited, but it is understood that his remuneration in that connexion has been fixed at an amount that provides for a salary of £10,000 after income tax has been paid.

3.   The whole question of payment of income tax will receive consideration by the Government on receipt of the report of the Royal Commission on Taxation.
