Senator KEATING (TASMANIA) - I ask the Minister representing the Postmaster-General, with regard to the contract for the carriage of mails from Australia to England, which is now the subject of negotiation between the Department and representatives of the Orient Shipping Company, will the Government have inserted in the contract a provision making Hobart a port of call for the mail steamers? Will the contract entered into be subject to the ratification of both Houses of this Parliament ?
