Senator MILLEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) - I should like to ask the Minister of Defence, in connexion with soldiers returning to Australia, if, in future, in returning these troops to their respective States, steps will be taken to differentiate between those who have loyally served their country and those who are Bent back under discreditable circumstances for disciplinary reasons ?

Senator Pearce - Differentiate in what way?

Senator MILLEN - I may be allowed to explain that it is not a little annoying to citizens who attend to welcome returned soldiers who have done their duty to the country, to find that they have bestowed their confidence and' favour upon men who have disgraced both themselves and their uniform.
