Senator FINDLEY (for Senator Blakey) asked the Minister representing the Postmaster-General, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that some temporary employes, who were engaged as builders' labour ers on the telephone conduits in Melbourne, received no wages for 26th April, 1915 (Eight Hours Day) ?

2.   If so, was this due to an award of the Court, or a Departmental instruction?

3.   If due to a Departmental instruction, will be take early steps to remedy this state of affairs ?
