Senator BARNES - Can the Minister of Defence say whether an arrangement has been made to allow any unionists in camp to march in the Eight Hours procession next Monday?

Senator PEARCE - A notice has been sent to the Commandant of this district that those who wish to attend the procession are to be given leave on that day.

Senator Lt Colonel O'LOGHLIN asked the Minister representing the Minister of Home Affairs, upon notice -

1.   Has the attention of Ministers been called to the statement in the Press, that the Canadian Government is making arrangements to enable members of its Expeditionary Force at the front to vote in case of an election?

2.   Will the Government consider the advisability of taking similar action, so that our soldiers serving outside Australia may not be disfranchised ?
